The Ray Hubbard Bass Club held our seventh members only tournament of 2023 last Saturday August 12th on Lake Tawakoni. Ridiculous heat was the rule of the day but a strong wind for August made the heat more bearable but in exchange made moving around the lake treacherous. 29 boats made the trip out and living up to the stories going around, the fishing was very very tough. Only one five fish limit was brought to the scales. At the end of the day Peter Husser fishing solo was our winner with two fish for 11.44 pounds. His 5.97 hawg was big bass of the tournament as well for the sweep.
Thanks to Ronnie and Capp for doing registration early Saturday morning. Thanks to Eugene and Tyler for running weigh in and to Garrett Browne for getting the money straight. Next up on the schedule is hopefully a more fisherman friendly Cypress Springs on September 9th. See you there!
