Congratulations Justin Garrett and Gary Anderson on the win with a 22.68 lb bag. With this win, Justin takes over the lead for Angler of the Year and his consistently strong finish will make him hard to beat. Second place and only a 1/2 lb back was Steve Tigert and Derek Sullivan with 22.10, anchored by a nice 7.42 fat girl; Steve has moved up the leaderboard and is now in 4th place for AOY. Shawn & Alec Castonguay returned and had a nice 21.14 sack for 3rd place; welcome back guys! 4th place went to Brandon Putnam and Joey Deans with 19.74. 5th and 6th place tied with 18.82 lbs and the tie was broken by the biggest bass. With a 7.63 lb tournament big bass, 5th Place went to Jeff Cartwright and Mitchell Bailey. 6th place and last in the money went to Randy Bridges & Jim Phillips with a nice 18.82 lb sack and their 6.27 lb big bass.
While Mitchell caught the 7.63 lb tournament big bass, I’m giving credit to both anglers. Jeff tells me that it was their first fish of the day and that it blew up on his frog. Being a good partner, Mitchell promptly threw in with a buzz bait and landed her. Good job guys.
