Congratulations to Jon Ponder & Jacob Britt for bringing in an impressive 18.50 lbs (including the tournament big bass and another of equal size) on what was another hot day on a water starved Lake Tawakoni. Great job, guys! Preston Smith and David Horton continued their strong year with a 16.36 lb sack which netted 2nd place. 3rd Place went to Warren Whitaker & Darrell Freeman with 14.85 lbs. 4th Place went to Justin Garrett & Gary Anderson with 12.44 lbs. 5th Place to Mark Werner & Vince Burt with 11.99 and 6th Place went to Tony Schnurr & Jay Messersmith with 10.63.
The Angler of the Year race is getting interesting. There are some really consistent sticks at the top. Justin Garrett and Tony Schnurr continue to hold their spots as #’s 1 & 2 but Preston Smith, Jason Hunnicutt, David Horton & Steve Tigert are close behind and continue to fish strong.
