The Ray Hubbard Bass Club held our sixth members only tournament of 2021 last Saturday July 10th on Lake Lavon. They finally closed the gates so the lake had stabilized a little. 27 teams came out to fish with us. We started in the dark at 5:00AM and not far in to the morning a stiff breeze picked up. Strange but welcome for mid July. Fishing was good for some and not for others as we had 8 limits but 11 zeroes although I know a few boats tossed fish back without weighing them to cut down on mortality. When we were done. Lavon stalwarts Adam Vesely and Taylor Gauntt won going away with a bag of 21 pounds even anchored by twin 6 pounders. Big bass of the event went to Bruce Anderson and Dameon Scott with a 6.39.
