The Ray Hubbard Bass Club held our ninth and last points tournament of 2023 on Possum Kingdon Lake on October 14th. The first real fall cold front came in to greet us with the temperature at 49 degrees at first cast and a brisk north wind blowing. Unfortunately not many decided to make the long drive west as we had only nine boats compete. Fishing was what you would expect with blue bird skies after a cold front. Four teams brought limits to the scales. When all the fish were weighed, the team of Eugene McBride and Tyler Austin came out on top with a nice bag weighing 14.56. Big Bass went to the team of Clark Crenshaw and Chris Lewis with a 5.32 hawg.

Thanks to Chris Atkinson for checking people in at 0 dark 30 and Eugene and Tyler for running weigh in. Our next tournament is a huge one! The Eighth Annual Fish For A Cure coming up on Sunday October 29th on Lake Ray Hubbard. Details can be found on the Fish For A Cure tab. Hope to see you there!
