Saturday, September 8th, 2018 – Lake Ray Hubbard
The Ray Hubbard Bass Club held our eighth members only tournament of 2018 on Saturday September 8th on our home lake, Ray Hubbard. I was not present for this one, but reports have the day starting cloudy and cool and by mid morning heavy rain was falling and continued to fall most of the day. I heard reports of boats hiding in marina stalls when it got really nasty, but true to her reputation, when the weather gets rough, Mother Hubbard kicks out some heavy bags! 33 boats braved the conditions and when it was all said and done, the team of David Simmons and Jason Hunnicutt came out victorious with a limit that weighed 18.63 pounds. That included big bass of the tournament, a 7.86 monster.
