Saturday, February 13th, 2017 – Lake Bob Sandlin
The Ray Hubbard Bass Club held our first tournament of 2017 last Saturday, February 13th on Lake Bob Sandlin. A mix of clouds and sun greeted our teams and the temperatures felt more like April than February. But the wind also thought it was spring howling at 15-25 all day making fishing the main lake tough and moving around was a pain in the kidneys. An awesome turnout of 40 boats came out to fish with us. Fishing was very good for February. 24 of the 40 teams brought 5 fish limits to the scales. When all was said and done, the veteran team of Tommy and Tony Climer came out on top with a limit weighing 17.98 pounds. Big bass of the day was caught by Eddy Wooldridge fishing with Jason Hadley. The beast weighed 8.94 pounds!
