Launch: Lake Fork Marina
Time: 6am - 2pm

The tournament for September is at Lake Fork. Impounded in 1979, Lake Fork has a surface area of 27,690 acres at normal pool. Lake Fork's reputation as Texas' BIG BASS factory is very well deserved. More trophy sized bass are caught here than any other lake in the country. Lake Fork is home to the current Texas state record bass which stands at 18.18 pounds and was caught in January 1992. This year, maybe you will become the record holder. Join us and see what happens.

Largemouth bass are subject to a 16- to 24-inch slot limit. Bass 16 inches and shorter and 24 inches and longer can be harvested with a daily bag limit of 5 fish, of which only 1 fish can be 24 inches or greater.

Directions:

The ramp is Lake Fork Marina. FM 515 to FM 17 South - look for sign on the left.

Lake Fork Marina & Motel is a full service fishing resort serving our guests for over 25 years with the finest accommodations. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is on hand to help make sure your stay is enjoyable. Our facility is located about mid-lake on the west arm of the lake making it convenient to fish either up or down the lake.

  4. Lake Fork Tournament - Only team doubling up is the Climers. Hours - 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Launch Ramp - Lake Fork Marina - trailering allowed. Safety -Lake is low, boat lanes clearly marked, be careful outside the boat lanes.

  5. Guest Speaker-Tom Redington - Lake is low and running from Lake Fork Marina need to run at an angle to the Northeast wrap around of the 515 bridge and the same way coming back in to the marina. Baits to use include the pop-r, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, ¼ oz traps and cranks, drop shot and wacky worm. Using the drop shot shake excessively while lingering in one spot. Tom talked about always set your goal in every tournament to WIN! If your mindset is anything less you will under achieve. To support Tom Redington or have questions go to lakeforkguidetrip.com. Confirmed Lake Fork slot is 16" to 24" with only 1 over allowed per boat.

  6. Top 6 Tournament, September 30, 2012 - Team 1 - Vince Burt and Mark Werner Team 2 - David Simmons and Jared Fish Team 3 - Jay Messersmith and Tom Brouillette Jack and Fly Scheel will be taking Jay and Tom's place due to boat issues. After the meeting, Jack Scheel approached Tom and Jay and offered the use of his boat for the Top 6 Tournament.

  7. PVA Tournament, October 5th & 6th - Last community event before the Championship. You can enter as a boater or non-boater or work with the dock fisherman, as a runner, and at weigh-in. B.A.S.S. is bringing their live release tank this year.

  8. Set fishing hours for Lake Cypress Spring Tournament - Club voted by acclamation the hours to be set at 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  9. Adjournment - 8:12 p.m.
