Located on Texas 276 in West Tawakoni, at west end of Tawakoni Causeway

Time: 6:45am-3:00pm

Lake Tawakoni is an older impoundment that still produces great fishing. Largemouth bass anglers should concentrate their efforts around available cover such as piers, boat houses, vegetation and trees along the shoreline.

Bass are currently managed with statewide regulations. 5 fish, 14 inch minimum length limit.

Best Pattern: Spinnerbaits / grass
Water Temp: 48-61
Weather: bluebird/sunny/8-15mph wind

March 11, 2010 regular meeting of RHBC opened at 7:15 p.m by Tom Brouillette, Club President.

• BOTBC no new info.
• Tawakoni Tournament-Club approved to use the public ramp on the west end of 2 mile bridge and the tournament times were set at 6:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  
• Ray Hubbard Tournament- approved ramp-66 Bridge on the east end- tournament times set at 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  
• Club approved for Tom B. to book 6 trailers at Reagan's for the Championship Tournament.
  
• Tom and Jeff reported on the Kids Fish Tournament at Brackdale Park set for May 1, 2010 to start at 8:30 a.m.
  
• Tom reported the permits for Lake Bonham are available and have increased in fee to $10.00 each.
  
• Brian Clark was the guest speaker, talked about techiques this time of year and what to look for in the way of structure and what colors and lures he uses and answered numerous questions from the members. Several giveaway items were passed out if you asked a question. At the end of the session Brian gave away two of his lures, one was a sexy shad crankbait that he customed modified and the other was a black/blue jig. Tom had him pick two numbers out of 32 (number of members present) and Brian picked #1 and #32 which corresponded to Jeff Cartwright and Keenan Hatley on the sign in sheet. Jeff got the crankbait and Keenan got the jig.
