Lake Ray Hubbard in July should offer a
variety of fishing challenges. Will they be in the weeds or offshore?
Are they hanging under the docks or finding the shade of a bridge? Test
your skills and join us for what usually turns out to be some hot summertime
fishing.
Directions:
Chandler's Landing
Take I-30 east to Ridge Road exit, turn right on Ridge Road and follow
to Henry M. Chandlers. Turn right and follow street down the hill to lake
and marina.

- Ray Hubbard Tournament: Ramp: Texas Queen Ramp, trailering
allowed. Times: Start 5:00 a.m., lines out of the water at 1:00 p.m.
Registration: Start at 4:00 a.m. and ends at 4:45 a.m. Off Limit Areas:
Jay Messersmith, Tournament Director -Power Plant intake use the existing
buoy line, the 'Danger-do not enter' buoys according to the RH Water
Authority, treat them as 'No Wake' buoys. Fish Care: Ice, Sure Life,
hydrogen peroxide, and aerators. Angler Care: Start hydrating the night
before and drink plenty of water while out on the lake.
- Top Six Info: July 21, 2012 meeting in Hurst at Fun-N-Sun,
Robert and Jeff will be attending representing RHBC. Rumor has it that
Possum Kingdom will be the Championship Lake for the Top 6. Our Top
3 teams will go and will be decided after the August tournament. The
Club will pay the $300.00 entry fee and pay for the Saturday night lodging
only.
- Championship Discussion: Tom reported there are 2 to 3 cabins
left at Ragan's and if you wish to set up accommodations to contact
him. The Classic is set for November 3rd and 4th this year on Bob Sandlin
Lake. There is one community event left for anyone to participate in
and it is the PVA set up for the first weekend in October. You must
have one community event and fished 5 regular season tournaments to
qualify for the Classic.
- Other New Business: Ronnie Pettis is taking orders for TFO
rods, he arrange a good deal on these rods that normally go for $150.00
each and you can get them for $70.00 each, minimum of two per person.
