Cedar Creek Resevoir July 10, 2010
Launch: Caney City Hwy 198 Public Ramp
Hours: 5:30a.m. to 2:00p.m.

Here' s a map for Burger, Gas, Hotel, etc.

Many tournaments are held on Cedar Creek Resevoir each year because it continually produces solid limits for the tournament angler. We return in July when summertime patterns should dominate.

Bass are currently managed with statewide regulations. 5 fish, 14 inch minimum length limit.

Best Pattern: Worm, Rocks

Meeting Minutes

Call to Order - 7:00 p.m.

Introduction of New Members - No new member intros.

Cedar Creek Tournament set for July 10, 2010-
Tournament time set for 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Registration to start at 4:30 a.m.
Ramp- Caney City Public ramp. Water Temp. mid 80’s.

Lake Lavon results and fish tales - !st. Place team of Fagan and Miller used bazzbaits and spinner baits early and Carolina rig to catch their big one. 17.4 lbs with big bass of 5.69 lbs.
Second place went to Deans and Putnam with 17.01 lbs, they fished grass and main lake points with rocks using spinner baits and jigs and late in the day switched to Carolina rigs.

On the lighter side - Mark Werner lost a $400.00 rod and reel set up to Lake Lavon by hooking it with his Carolina rig and throwing it out in to the lake. Sorry Mark!!!

PVA Tournament review - Saturday Melvin Sutton fishing as a non-boater with his partner took 3rd Place and received a 3-bank charger and $800.00. Tommy climmer and his PVA partner took First Place on Saturday. Frank Story and his partner took First Place on Sunday with 17.8 lbs. I did not catch what Frank won. Casey Allison and his crew took care of setting up all the electrical and took care of the dock fisherman. David Magars commented that the PVA Tournament was conducted very professionally.

Presentation by Executive Director of the PVA, Glen Bentley - Glen Bentley could not be here but will be at our August meeting to present a $500.00 check to the Club for having the most volunteers at the PVA Tourney.

Lake Texoma Tournament -Ramp set for Lowe’s High Point.
Guest Speaker-Tom Redington FLW Tour Pro and Lake Fork Guide. Mr. Redington spoke on the topics of dock fishing, pattern the fish, boat control, bait presentation and casting and baits to use this time of year. He also talked about deep water fishing and reading your graph.
