Ray Hubbard Bass Club - Grapevine

Hours: 5:30a.m. to 1:00p.m.

Grapevine Lake has many dropoffs and underwater structure changes that hold largemouth bass. A metroplex lake with a different look and feel than most of our local lakes.

Most species are currently managed with statewide regulations. The exception is a 14- to 18-inch slot limit on largemouth bass. Bass 14 inches and less in length, or 18 inches or more, may be retained. Daily bag limit for all species of black bass is 5 in any combination.

Best Pattern: Finesse Worms
Water Temp: 85-90+

Meeting Minutes

Call to order- 7:01 p.m.

Presentation by Glen Bentley from PVA- Awarded the Club with a Certificate and $500.00 cash for having the most Club members present to volunteer for the PVA Tournament held on June 13th and 14th, 2010.

Cedar Creek results-

1st- Brandon Putnam and Rick Morehouse- 10.24 lbs. fished rocks mainly and some lay downs- Carolina rig and wacky worm.

2nd- Jack Lantrip and Bob Keller-8.67 lbs.- not present at meeting to tell their story.

3rd- Vince Burt and Mark Werner-6.30 lbs. – Fished 3 docks holding fish all day- Creep Crawl-Carolina rig on a point 7’ to 21’ deep.

Grapevine Tournament times- Club voted to set fishing times to 5:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and will be launching from Katie Wood’s ramp.

Partner finder- No one needed a back seat.

Fish Care/Angler Care- Tom went over the fish care and reminded everyone to stay hydrated for the conditions will be “HOT”.

Texoma Info- Tom announced that he has the permit for the Club to launch from High Point Marina and that the Marina will be off limits to fishing for the tournament. Tom also reminded everyone to get their new TPW fishing license and a Texoma license.

Financial Report- Jeff Cartwright gave a financial report to the Club stating that with the PVA donation that the Club has $1320.00 in the Championship Fund and $1760.00 in the regular Club fund. Tom said that it looks like there will be no Tournament Fee charged for those who are qualified to participate in the Club Championship.

Championship Tournament- Once again, Tom announced to club, tournament fee and that the Club has several cabins reserved at Reagan’s the weekend of November 13 and 14, 2010.
